Smith Bailey- AZ Thunder

Smith Bailey helped lead his team, the Arizona Thunder to the 14U Baseball Showcase Road to the Show tournament championship by pitching a complete game in the final on Apr. 28.

“It felt pretty good. I was struggling in the first couple of innings locating my pitches but then I came through and finished the game off,” Bailey said.

Outside of baseball Smith used to play lacrosse and says he is thinking of going back to it. He said he wants to be an MLB player when he is older but if that does not work out he said he would like to be a personal trainer or scout. He currently attends Terramar Elementary School but will attend Mountain Ridge High School in the fall. Even though he is not even a high school freshman, Smith already has big dreams of attending Vanderbilt University or the University of Arizona.
